Specialist Art Forms
Originally from Swansea, I am a highly trained & qualified professional dancer and dance teacher. After training as a professional dancer in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Tap and Jazz, my passion for Hip Hop & Jazz stood out more than others. I have a love for Jazz due to the variety of the music, the different styles from Fosse through to commercial and Hip Hop and I believe that everyone can enjoy this style no matter what age. I enjoy working with youths, teens and adults of all ages and abilities and am currently teaching ages 4-adult.
I began my training at Swansea’s Grand Theatre of Dance under Principal Wendy Weaver. At the age of eleven, I was one of then across Wales who were selected to train as Junior Associate of The Royal Ballet where I performed in the National Youth Ballet for three years. At the age of sixteen I auditioned for and was accepted in into three of the top dance schools in London. I trained for a further three years at the Tring Park School of Performing Arts where I graduated with a Diploma in Dance. I qualified studied for my FDI teaching qualification with the ISTD in Tap and Modern where, like my degree, I obtained the highest level possible. On graduating from Tring Park I was commissioned to work with Christopher Biggins’ private pantomime company. I returned to Swansea to teach and choreograph under the guidance of Wendy Weaver where two of my pieces were performed in the Ben Bellamy Tribute Show in 2007. I am now principal of my own Dance School in Swansea and have recently become an Arts Care Gofal Celf Associate Dance Artist where I aim to develop my career as a Dance Artist.
