Profile
I love to share music with people, from African drumming to jazz.
For many years I lead workshops for people with learning disabilities in
sessions organized my Community Music Wales. This experience lead me
into the study of music therapy: I then went on to work for a number of
years as a music therapist for the National Health Service.
Since I have settled in West Wales, I have been busy with world music
workshops for Carmarthenshire Music Service as well as courses in
community music, improvisation, and composition for Coleg sir Gar. My
composition work has continued with orchestral commissions from the BBC
National Orchestra of Wales and Viva; as well as a score for the dance
company, India Dance Wales. Outside West Wales, I continue to present
lectures for the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and workshops
for Dash (Disabilities Arts Shropshire) as well as other bodies. This
summer I will be leading a summer school for the Welsh National Opera
and Diversions dance company.
